Convention 2012 - Les Moore Challenge - Confirmed

In deciding the Challenge for the 2012 Convention, WMEC were only aware of one ground-rule and that was that individuals and clubs may enter the Challenge but only a club entry could win the Trophy.

Discussion with various members from different clubs, on whether the challenge every 2 years should be steam-based or not, provided a clear message that so long as it is engineering and reaches as many level's of a clubs membership as possible, that it is the host clubs decision on what the project should be.

All clubs members are invited to consider and submit an entry for the 2012 Les Moore Challenge in addition to their clubs official entry. We think we have given a challenge that not only has some smart engineering principles involved to be competitive despite its apparent simplicity, but even without being amongst top contenders for the trophy, should be a lot of fun for any member of a club who takes the time to bring along their entry.
